Talk about the ultimate girl’s trip! I had the opportunity to visit the One & Only Palmilla Hotel in Los Cabos with my good friend Joelle Anello from @lapetitenoob and all I can say is this was a trip of a lifetime. That’s not all I can say actually, I have plenty to say about our girl’s trip.

The ultimate luxurious getaway that also welcomes families and couples. This resort provides you with a sense of privacy, exclusivity and great service. And I’m just getting started…
We stayed at the One & Only Palmilla which is located in San Jose del Cabo right by the Sea of Cortez, a city that averages 340 SUNNY DAYS a year! From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were picked up by the hotel in a private Escalade and as our lovely driver welcomed us, we started to live the One & Only Palmilla experience.
Palm trees, dessert vibes and colorful buildings were the backdrop to this beautiful journey. As we arrived at the hotel, filled with anticipation ad excitement, the two of us were welcomed by luscious flowers and sunny skies.

We got out of the car and were immediately taken back by the beautiful courtyard fountain, a stunning church at the top of the hill, soft music playing in the background and the smiles of the staff as they welcomed us. This was one of the best experiences of my life. A moment I will cherish forever.

Joelle and I have been friends for a while now, I truly admire her sense of style, work ethic and her sense of humor. We can talk for hours and so having the time to catch up just us two made out stay even more special. We laughed so hard, we made fun of each other as always, but the best part was, we were both on the same page, making the most out of our experience and most importantly, being present, in every moment, enjoying every second and making it count.
Once we checked in, we were taken to our beautiful room located in Casa Arena which means, Sand House, a spacious, colorful room with a living room area, a beautiful bathroom full of Mexican tiles and décor. There was also a large, open concept shower next to the marble tub surrounded by beautiful stone work and of course, an array of amenities for the two of us.
We headed over to the patio area which had a stunning view of the sea of Cortez, palm trees and flowers everywhere. We also had our very own pool, 2 loungers, a sun bed and a table perfect for room service dining or early morning coffee.
The beach was beautiful, very private and spacious. We chose to spend our time in a cabana. the service was incredible. I went for a refreshing swim and spent some time in the sun. It was heavenly.
The spa experience was perfection, from the relaxing pedicures we enjoyed together, to morning yoga classes to our private villa massage experience.

We truly made the best out of our time there and I even fell asleep (Joelle claims I was snoring) We left the spa feeling relaxed, renewed and the experience brought us much closer as friends. Definitely a must when you’re traveling with your girls!

We enjoyed breakfast at Breeze, which is a restaurant located next to the adult pool. The views are breathtaking, you can admire the infinity pool and the Sea of Cortez while eating some huevos rancheros and a variety of fresh natural juices. Service was outstanding

The adult pool – White chairs and umbrellas are surrounded by blue water and of course the smiles of the staff who are ready to tend to your needs the moment you step in.
We felt like royalty as they whisked us away to your preferred loungers, set up our towels and foot rests and provided us with water and refreshing mist the moment we sat down. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we discovered the foot massages available at the pool!
Delicious snacks were also served poolside. Joelle and I enjoyed a ceviche platter, shrimp, steak and tuna tacos with a side of chips and guacamole. How could you make this any better you ask? with Ginger Margaritas, our drink of choice during our stay. Craving one right about now…
We also dined at Suviche, an Asian/Mexican fusion restaurant. The food was out of this world and the dining experience was very intimate. Seared, a steak house and seafood restaurant that offers over 15 different cuts of beef is also a must.
The last restaurant was AGUA BY LARI which is also located seaside near the family pool. This place is full of character, from the giant bar that sits at the end of the walkway and welcomes you, to the beautiful umbrellas decorated with tassels colorful furniture. We had the opportunity to eat breakfast and dinner and both experiences were outstanding.
We had our final dinner at AGUA BY LARI and I want to send a big hug to out waiter Fernando who was so lovely and made our night. He was so much fun, chatted with us and provided us with a 5-star service. We had wine and bubbly and toasted to our last night at One & Only. We listened to live music while we enjoyed a delicious paella and toasted to the best girls trip ever!
I want to thank everyone at One & Only Palmilla for making our stay an experience we will never forget. Thank you for taking care of every detail and making sure that every moment was made into a beautiful memory. We cannot wait to go back!
From my heart to yours.
