THE PERFECT GIRLS WEEKEND AT FAIRMONT ROYAL YORK

THE PERFECT GIRLS WEEKEND AT FAIRMONT ROYAL YORK

Talk about the perfect girl’s staycation!

I had a chance to stay at the Fairmont Royal York back in February with my husband and I completely fell in love with the hotel, the staff, the food and the service so I knew it wouldn’t be long until I came back….

We had the opportunity to celebrate our dear friend Elise’s birthday along with Chloe and Carleton at the Fairmont Royal York this past weekend and it was truly a dream.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed in our room by a bottle of champagne and a Strawberry shortcake for Elise which was not only beautiful looking but also delicious!

We were told to “look in the closet” so as we arrived to our room we took a peak and died of excitement and happiness after seeing 4 embroidered Fairmont robes with our names on them!

We couldn’t believe our eyes and at that moment we knew we were in for something very special.  These personalized robes are also available if you order them prior to your arrival.

After getting ready together, we visited the Library bar which is has been voted Toronto’s best Martini bar and its selection of whisky from all over the world its outstanding. The moment you walk in you are welcomed leopard print couches and elegant touches everywhere, it is so inviting and so enchanting at the same time, it makes you think of all the people, the stories and events that have taken place there over the years. Just Magical. The afternoon tea service is also served here.

Then, it was time for dinner, EPIC restaurant’s  Chef Graeme Little did not disappoint. He takes the time and goes though the recipe archives and has come up with a heritage series menu’s celebrating Canada’s 150 anniversary. We enjoyed a fabulous steak, the most delicious oysters I’ve ever had and my beloved George, whom I met the first time I visited came to greet me and delighted me with a mango martini. Elise, the birthday girl, was surprised with her very own LV bag cake which was the sweetest touch.

The next morning we enjoyed breakfast in bed which included eggs benny, roasted potatoes, pancakes and delicious coffee. Once we finished our breakfast, we headed up to the rooftop patio which is also home to over 300,000 bees. These guys produce all the honey that is consumed at the hotel. The view is breathtaking, you can see the CN Tower from up close, Union Station and if you would like to enjoy a tour you can do so with your Afternoon Tea Service at the Library Bar  which is where we headed next….

Think cones, strawberry jam, butter, tea sandwiches and berry/mint mimosas, Champagne and Prosseco. This was probably one of my favorite parts of the stay because we sat there and enjoyed each other’s company for 4 hours and didn’t want to leave. ! At that point we were all ready to move in.

I want to thank the staff at the Fairmont Royal York for being the absolute best at what they do and for tending to our every need and of course, to my partners in crime for making this stay so special and fun. Love you guys!

Until next time my beloved Fairmont.

I hope you enjoy my visual story
