Nothing makes me happier than entertaining family and friends over the holidays. I love hosting parties and dinners, and while my husband often takes over the kitchen, I’m always in charge of cocktails and appetizers – oh, and dessert! We’ve got a lot to plan for this season, including having my girls over for movies, games and of course food and drink, in addition to joining family to celebrate the holidays, my birthday and the New Year!
This year I am going to use Singleton of Dufftown Tailfire, which is a delicious new Single Malt Scotch Whisky with notes of berries and vanilla scents – making it the perfect drink to enjoy over the holidays, served over ice or in a festive cocktail, with some yummy snacks.
For my cocktail of choice this year, I made the Berry Jam Sour cocktail and I am sharing the recipe with you guys since it was so delicious. I’ve also included some photos to hopefully give you some holiday inspiration!
BERRY JAM SOUR
- 5 oz. Singleton of Dufftown Tailfire
- 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 5 oz. egg white
- 5 oz. simple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of mixed berry jam
- Dry shake all ingredients
- Add ice! Shake Shake Shake
- Fine strain serve in old fashioned glasses
- Garnish with berries and mint
