Hello my lovelies, its been a while!
I wanted to share my recent visit to the Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel with my best friend Laura. Let me just start by saying how impressed I am with the staff, the accommodations and overall service from the bar to front desk, to room service and the spa, I am so grateful for an amazing weekend full of delicious food, drinks, comfort and relaxation with one of my favorite people in the world.
The purpose of this staycation was to spend some quality and much needed time with my best friend as well as enjoying all the hotel offerings. I checked in and as soon as I arrived to my room I was welcomed with a bottle of bubbly and some delicious sweet treats followed by the stunning view of the lake and CN Tower, right in front of me. I never take any of these experiences for granted so it was a beautiful moment, I was grateful to be present, alive and well.
Once my friend arrived, we popped some bubbly and started to get ready for dinner. We’ve been friends for 13 years and she is a sister to me. I recently moved back downtown so I am SO HAPPY I get to see her all the time!
We visited the restaurant and bar Azure and had a chance to enjoy the most delicious appetizers and signature cocktails. For the main course we enjoyed a delicious steak and cod accompanied by wine…yum!
The restaurant has also some exciting news in the next weeks so I will be giving you a fun update very soon…Stay tuned….
Back to our cozy room…we, of course slept in and ordered the most delicious breakfast. I was in love with everything, we enjoyed coffee and juice in our robes, my faves were the potatoes, bacon, pancakes, I wish I could be having them again right now! Hands down, my favorite meal!
The second night I decided to stay in and enjoy some alone time and watch movies and order room service which was SO SO GOOD! Onion soup, burgers, and cheesecake. I know it sounds like a lot of food but I watched 2 movies and a documentary while enjoying every bite. I lost myself in the blankets, sheets and pillows right in the middle of the bed and I felt like the 12 y/0 in me was making her dreams come true!
After another amazing sleep, it was time for the last stop on the train: The Spa where I enjoyed the beautiful salt water indoor pool, steam room and one of the best massages I have ever had thanks to the amazing Colby you need to see him!
I left the hotel feeling relaxed, renewed and most importantly so grateful. I have always been someone who believes life is too short and wants to enjoy as many experiences as possible, moments like these to help you gain perspective. The key is to surround yourself by the ones who truly love you and want the best for you and protect you when needed. Thank you to my friend Laura for being that person to me, for loving me unconditionally and being family to me.
Lastly, i want to thank the staff at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre for making this weekend and my stay a truly incredible time.
Here is my visual story!
